T O P I C R E V I E WAmi AnneI mean --do you have to see evil and call it for what it is before you can separate yourself from it? I don't know if I am making myself clear *sigh*------------------Passion, Lust, Desire. Check out my journal http://www.mychristianpsychic.com/C1ND3RIt is clear and i think so.. Otherwise, who cares about a dandelion when you're knee deep in sh*t?I think that once you can identify something you can then make a decision as to what you want and would like to experience and what you don't.Otherwise, i believe turning a blind eye will only lead to further confusion until the person decides to consciously remain aware and make decisions based on the control they have in their life.Feeling powerless and helpless don't contribue to anything helpful and certainly don't contribute to building or repairing self-esteem.Ami Anne quote:Originally posted by C1ND3R:It is clear and i think so.. Check out my journal http://www.mychristianpsychic.com/PixieJaneYes. But identifying evil is very tricky, perhaps the most dangerous in that you might miss it's sickness in yourself (and thus it slowly takes you over without you even knowing it) when you're too busy identifying it in others (and in the process identify people as evil who aren't). This has to be approached cautiously. And another thing that helps in abuse (though those with many or strong Scorpio placements may find this very difficult to impossible) is to learn compassion & forgiveness. This isn't to be confused with the spineless, "Oh I forgive you, so go ahead and do it again," but rather about seeing how a person is weak & broken (though a rare few do seem born who hurt others with a song in their heart while feeling revulsion at joy in others). YOU DO NOT HELP THEM at this time, if ever. You don't walk up to such a person and say, "I forgive you" (which technically could be a passive aggressive attack rather than sincere anyway). This is for the victim of child abuse. It both shows the abuser as weak and thus not much of a danger anymore but mostly it's to find peace from constantly bemoaning what happened. I know I and others who have forgiven those who abused us (at least as best we're able) and we're better for it. Others who can't get over it continually dwell on it and make themselves miserable and angry over something they can't change. And btw, I never told those I forgave that I did so, it's not for their benefit, it's for mine.I'll see if I can find a dream I had when I was 18 that made me realize this is what I had to do. PixieJanedeletePadre35One of the keys to all of this is realizing there are different guises for evil. The ogre is easily spotted, the Mr Rogers type, who seems normal as anyone else, can far more evil then the ogre. The other type is generally good and decent people who succumb to temptation and do evil things.Think of that, this way, Peter was a trusted Disciple of Christ, but in seemingly looking out for Jesus, he was advocating doing evil.Ami AnnePixie I appreciate your contributions, greatly.I feel God gave me a revelation, today. It was that many of my answers are found in a parsing of evil. It stems from my mother who molested me, as most of you know, and won't accept it. God wanted me to see that it was evil. So, for me, I have to face evil straight on and call it by name. It exists in all of us.Then, after I face it, I will have the direction and clarity of direction I want. I know this will speak to someone. In a word, evil is Lies. I agree with Peck. Evil is any lie about ourselves. If we MUST hang onto it, we will destroy others in the keeping of it *Sigh*This world is complicated.------------------Passion, Lust, Desire.
